History
In the first eighteen months after Clearmind was introduced to the Island, over seventy people carpooled their way to the mainland to complete Clearmind’s introductory workshop, The Awakening, held at Clearmind’s Springbrooke Retreat Center outside Vancouver.
By 2005, the community had grown to thirty people who had participated in Clearmind programs. A temporary ‘House’ was set up in Mill Bay which was central to people who came from communities in the Victoria area central and North Island as well as the Gulf Islands.
Two very committed facilitators made their way from Vancouver every week to teach weekend classes and facilitate support groups. Other members from the mainland graciously made their way here to support the Island community on many occasions.
A Clearmind Island team is now in place, organizing Awakenings, support groups, lectures and more, for the 2009 year. Stay tuned for more details to come.

Shannon MacGregor and Sarah Nakatsuka are Registered Professional Counsellors with the Canadian Professional Counsellors' Association, and graduates of Clearmind's P.R.A.C. for Life program. They are passionate about extending Clearmind's programs to Vancouver Island. They are dedicated to promoting the teachings of Clearmind and supporting the growth of a local community.
