What is the Relationship Alive Workshop?
Relationship Alive redefines the difficulty of relationships, and offers another solution. It explains why we are attracted to the person we are in love with, and why over time that relationship can become so painful. It reveals the way out of the struggle.
The promise of romantic love is powerful, and is reinforced constantly through movies, the media, and even fairy tales. The promise is that in relationship we will finally feel loved, whole, and finally get in the present from our partner what we believe we don’t have and didn’t get back then in the past. We want to write a happy ending to a bad old story, to fill some conscious or unconscious sense of lack. We are attracted to a certain type of person that in some way connects to our past. We typically see the problem of love as that of being loved properly by our partners, rather than of being loving ourselves.
In this workshop we discover that the purpose of relationship is to
evolve, past the early ‘romantic’ stage, into a deeper place
for healing, where each can experience fullness of self in relation to the other.
The difficulty of relationship is transformed into opportunity for true
intimacy, through learning to become our partner’s ’soft place to fall’.
None of us is perfect, and it is our imperfections that expand our capacity
for love. The greater our capacity for love, the greater our experience
of love.
What will I discover?
Love, Knowledge, Passion, Purpose and Commitment. Whether you choose to do this workshop with a partner, or single, you will achieve a new awareness of relationship dynamics, and a new experience of what is possible in relationship. You will leave with tools and a concrete commitment to taking a new direction when old patterns emerge.
The experience we crave from relationship is available in relationship,
when we are willing to let go of how we think that experience must come
about. Being willing to release our partners from the burden of responsibility
we have placed on them to make up for our past, frees us to take accountability
and grow. Our partners then truly become our partners, in love and healing.
Our relationship becomes what it is intended to be.
What can I expect?
Relationship Alive is a graduate workshop, requiring participants to take the Awakening as a prerequisite. As in the Awakening, this workshop achieves a balance between experience and understanding. Because participants have done the Awakening and know what to expect from our workshops, Relationship Alive takes flight sooner, and involves more opportunities for self discovery.
The workshop is typically taught by two qualified facilitators, and features a number of trained assistants. The team is dedicated to providing you a safe, non-confrontational professionally delivered weekend experience that prides itself on respecting the speed of which each participant decides to proceed. We ensure a therapeutically responsible and professional approach to the delivery of all of our programs. In Canada, our facilitators are educated and registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) or the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA).
International facilitators are similarly educated and trained in their respective jurisdictions. Workshop assistants, who work under the direction of facilitators, receive in house training in responsible, ethical delivery of service. We adhere to our own Code of Ethics, as well as those of our associations.
Relationship Alive is a three day weekend workshop starting at around noon on Friday and going through Sunday evening. Workshops are typically residential with food provided for throughout the weekend. Dress casually and comfortably for the weekend and be ready to change your experience of relationship.

dysfunction, and the clarity of where we are at in our relationship. ”
